Whether you’re ending a day of outdoor adventure or gathering with family and friends for good conversation, Bozeman and Big Sky are full of great places to cozy up with a cocktail. Mixologists take classic spirits and turn them into delicious concoctions, often including locally distilled liquors. In addition, you’ll find impressive wine lists, locally brewed beers, and comfortable atmospheres where you can warm up, kick back, and enjoy the season.

Michaelangelo’s, Big Sky
Enjoy home-cooked, authentic Italian cuisine served in traditional Italian style with multiple courses at Michaelangelo’s. You’ll love the dining experience! Their selection of Italian red wines is extensive and fun to explore. They also make a mean Galliano Old Fashion, featuring Willie’s Big Horn Bourbon, Galliano, with Angostura and Orange Bitters, served on the rocks.
Brigade, Bozeman
This Bozeman hot spot makes some mean martinis and has some killer happy hour deals, but their specialty cocktails are especially noteworthy. During the winter months, we especially like the Apple of My Eye with brown butter and maple washed bourbon, spiced apple, lemon, egg white, and cinnamon. Stop by Brigade in the summer and try their twist on a margarita, the Just South of Fresno, a refreshing cocktail with just a bit of heat containing reposado tequila, mezcal, licor 43, fresno chile, grapefruit, lime, and smoked chipotle sea salt on the rim.
Copper Whiskey Bar & Grill, Bozeman
Located on Main Street in Bozeman, Copper Whiskey Bar has a classic vibe, great food, and a stand-out craft cocktail menu with a little something for everyone. Stick with a classic and try the Copper Old Fashioned, featuring local Dry Hills bourbon, demerara sugar, orange peel and homemade Copper bitters, or go the more experimental route with the English Breakfast, containing Steep Mountain Meadowlark tea infused Gordon’s gin, lemon, and honey.
Everett’s 8800, Big Sky
Located at the top of Andesite Mountain at Big Sky Resort, with a view of Lone Peak, Everett’s serves lunch daily from 11:00 am-4:00 pm and dinner Wednesday through Saturday from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm. The wine list is notable, the Bloody Mary’s are fabulous, and the mix of both hot and chilled cocktails guarantees you’ll find something you like at 8,800 feet.
Stacey’s Old Faithful Bar & Steakhouse
It doesn’t get more authentically Western than Stacey’s in Gallatin Gateway. Serving honest pours, hearty meals, and country music, you’ll experience the feeling of the locals who genuinely love the west. Plus, they often have live country music and a great dance floor.
